When the brothers Rhett and Max
Cunningham teamed up with Ayla Tesler-Mabe to form Ludic, some funky angel must
have given the trio a blessing because their music is just heavenly (I realise
this sounds like a pick up line but it really isn’t). ‘Heart Emoji’ blends Chic
levels of funk with Justin Timberlake-esque smooth vocals and the disco vibes
of Patawawa performing at the unexpected Civil Ceremony for Daft Punk. The synths
are nice and squelchy, the beats are punchy and the guitars are full of the
funk so get on board the funk train and lets go for a ride, shall we?
