Firstly, how cool is the name ‘Jaguar
Jonze’? Pretty damn cool, is the answer. Definitely one of my favourite artist
names of 2020. Jaguar Jonze’s new single, ‘Deadalive’, comes complete with a
superb video but the music is the headline here as razor sharp guitars cut
through pulsing bass and drums to create a stage for the real star of the show;
the vocals. The voice of Jaguar Jonze is icy cool pop perfection, the kind of
voice that wears a smile but doesn’t blink or break eye contact. The
inspiration for the song is the sensation we’ve all felt during the pandemic of
being alive but for what reason, what purpose?
