Grace has, with a sense of understated class, released her new single ‘Loverbirds’
and it is honestly one of the loveliest things to have graced my ears recently
(see what I did there?). Grace’s vocal is soulful but without resorting to unnecessary
X-Factor style warbling and the accompanying musicianship features a classic downtempo
Motown style arrangement with doleful horns mixing in with the guitar, bass and
drums to really stir the emotions. Maisy Grace is only at the starting line of
her musical adventures but based on this evidence she has a good grasp of the
essentials and a sprinkling of that little bit of something special that keeps
you coming back for more.
