Tina Boonstra – Talk It Over

London based Tina Boonstra has become
a firm favourite of LWM so it was a lovely surprise to see her new single pop
up in my inbox. ‘Talk It Over’ is an upbeat indie-pop banger of a song that
hangs around a pulsing bass line and driving beat but it’s Boonstra’s pure and
comforting voice that makes this work as well as the shimmering and lush
guitars. This is ode to just having a good old chat with an old friend, sibling
or pet who just gets you and doesn’t need you to be anyone other than who you
are and we all need that from time to time, don’t we. The video is also very ‘on
brand’ for Corona-2020 with Zoom lip synching from friends and fans around the
world. Oh, and there’s a handclap break down which I’m a big, big fan of so
this ticks all the boxes as far as I’m concerned. Prepare to be uplifted.
