Toronto’s Jacqueline Tucci is
launching new single ‘Sweeter Things’ on the world and it is a delight. Grungy
guitars and a loose beat give this a real slacker vibe that the Lemonheads or Weezer
would approve of while there is a clear link to the music of Belly, Breeders
and the Pixies in terms of the melodies and energy. The most impressive thing
is that all of this is coming out of one person’s mind and soul which, in my
world, makes this something a little bit special and existing in a very rare space
along with the excellent Lauran Hibberd.
