I don’t get a lot of music from
Louisiana sent my why, in fact this may be the first tune, but it’s a hell of start.
Shreveport’s Willie Jones blends soul, country, bluegrass and a bit of hip-hop
on new single ‘Trainwreck’ to create something genuinely unique. Frantically plucked
banjo strings, a moody bass throb, beats to die for and Jones’ infectious
southern drawl all combines to make a song that has more groove than you can
shake a stick at. Definitely one of my favourite recent discoveries and one
that I hope to hear more from soon.
