Devon trio Wildwood Kin have been
up to their old tricks during lockdown and the result is new single ‘Headed for
the Water’. By old tricks, I mean brooding alt-folk, sumptuous vocal harmonies
and a purist approach to melodies that makes your heart weep with joy. There
are some new tricks as well though as the trio managed to record this in three
separate locations, produce a compelling video and even managed to use the
sound of a spoon hitting a mug as part of the sparse but effective percussion.
Bravo Wildwood Kin, even a worldwide pandemic can’t stop your beauty spreading
out into the world.
