For a song about agoraphobia, this new track from Katie Wood
doesn’t half pack a punch. The blurb that comes with new single ‘Uh Huh Yeah’
points to Kate Bush and Haim as influences and you can definitely hear those in
there but there’s a strong 80s pop vibe that comes shimmering through with the
guitars and sprinkled synth melodies. Wood’s vocals have the power and sweet
delivery of Stevie Nicks and the whole package is nothing short of breath-taking
which puts this shoulder to shoulder with the excellent LadyHawke in my book.
