Benedict Sinister – Your Parents (Dancing with

Technically, Benedict Sinister is
Australian but due to being the son of a diplomat he has, shall we say, got
around a fair bit. Sinister’s new single, ‘Your Parents (Dancing with the
Stars)’, is drenched in the cool, mumbled French pop that we’ve all fallen in
love with and made love to and you can almost smell the cigarette smoke
swirling out of the speakers. A lo-fi beat and some electro melodies makes you
want to dance in a polyester suit in an exclusive basement bar with crystal cut
glasses on the table and aviator glasses on your face. This song is achingly
cool but it doesn’t even care because its already thinking about the next
party.
