ALIEN TANGO – SINGLE REVIEW

Alien Tango – Arthur Conan Doyle (Ground
Control)

Release Date: Out Now

London based Alien Tango is the musical vehicle for Spanish ex-pat Alberto Garcia and, apparently, he likes hanging out in bus stops with his doppelganger. ‘Arthur Conan Doyle’ is Alien Tango’s latest single release and it’s a lo-fi delight that sounds like the unhinged theme for an 80s children’s programme about the adventures of the British writer. Satisfyingly squelchy synths and drum machine beats blend with Garcia’s deep vocal to create the kind of musical madness I haven’t heard since Gilbert were on the scene. Also, if you want to see a man in a black trench coat singing about Arthur Conan Doyle while standing on top of a skip all set to a rejected remix of the Inspector Gadget theme then this will satisfy your incredibly niche desires.
