Megan Wardroper had a daydream that lock down never ended and the animals were
left to inherit the earth which resulted in this new single, ‘Two By Two’. The sombre,
gentle guitars that ripple throughout this are punctuated by plucked banjo
notes and Wardroper’s impish vocal which would fit neatly between Beth Orton
and Laura Marling. “Oh, I am weary of seeing real life through a screen” goes
the opening lyric, mirroring the emotions of pretty much everyone right now and
if you let this one wash over you then it might just soothe your burning desire
to get back out in to the world so quickly.
