Despite failing the ‘everyone keep your eyes open at the same time during the press shot’ test, trio Ludic have managed to bang out another superb single in the shape of ‘Love Me Like’. This is a slice of tightly strung funk that you wouldn’t be surprised to hear coming out via the likes of Patawawa, Mark Ronson or Nile Rodgers. The guitars ping, the drums groove and the bass, well, the bass is so sexy we probably shouldn’t talk about it before 9.00pm. There are some 80s flavours in there and a sense of East Coast college cool which all makes for some incredibly impressive and equally funky listening.
