There is so much interesting work
coming out of the Coronavirus Pandemic and Kiesza has created something really
special artistically as well as worthwhile. Teaming up with over 100 drone
pilots across the world to create the video for new single ‘Storm’, Kiesza has
produced a piece of art that pulls on the heartstrings and aims to raise money
and awareness for frontline workers. Musically, this has the feeling of an epic
80s ballad with a sparse piano melody and Keisza’s reverb soaked vocal mirroring
the emptiness being felt the hold world over. However, come the chorus and an
infectious beat joins in to give us hope, optimism and a sense that as the
natural world heals, we might be able to heal as a society as well. If you
switch off all distractions and sit down to give this one your full attention
then I would put big money on you having at least one tear rolling down your
cheek by the end of it.
