I have such a lot of love for the
way Grace Inspace approaches the world and the act of making music so it was
great to hear her new track pop up in my ears. ‘Off the Grid’ is an alt-country
anthem documenting Grace’s escape from LA to ride out the pandemic at her
childhood home in Oregon. A clattering rhythm and sliding, twanging guitar are
sewn together by smoothly delivered and deliciously layered up vocals which,
all in all, reminds me of a young Ben Harper writing music Michelle Shocked to
perform at Woodstock 2021 and it’s glorious.
