Renaissance man Matt Calder has
returned from his secret Westcountry retreat with new single ‘Language of Your
Heart’ and it is another piece of breathtakingly unique songwriting. With
ethereal melodies and almost shamanic vocals, you’d be forgiven for pigeon
holing this next to Peter Gabriel’s work but then a pulsating beat and growling
bass takes this in a new direction that is more like the Orb. Throw in a
captivating video that brings shadow puppetry in to the 21st century
(whether it likes it or not) and you’ve got something more akin to a piece of
art than a straight forward musical release. Enjoy.
