As debut releases go, Lauren Moon’s
single ‘It’s Easy to Stay Home’ is either incredible timely or massively misguided,
based on the title alone. Moon’s 60 inspired vocals and gentle melody, however,
are the perfect antidote to frayed nerves and high anxiety of coronavirus
lockdown. Throw in a country twang, some easy harmonica and the solid twang of
a guitar string and you’ve got the kind of song that will have people swooning
over a new artist who might just have provided the kind of song you need to
drag yourself out of bed and in to some grown up clothes for another day of
lockdown.
