Glints (aka JM Lemmens) has tapped in to a dark but rich seam on new single ‘Minimum
Wage’ and it’s a particularly guilty pleasure. The doom-laden string melodies are
pure Eminem in terms of drama but then the vocal delivery is far more in line
with the Streets but without the cheeky banter vibe. This is a bleak vision of
Britain in 2020 set to the kind of samples that would have even the most ardent
pacifist ready to climb in to a ring with Boris Johnson and set about showing
him just where austerity has got us.
