Electro pop duo BOO (aka Battery
Operated Orchestra) have brought their A-Game on new single ‘The Dissolve’,
from the music to the visuals and everything in between. A pulsating beat and
throbbing synths are stitched together coolly by the poised vocals of Brigitte
Rose to make for an entirely satisfying sound. As the black and white photocopier
inspired video rolls past our eyes at a fair lick, the tale of small town
frustration and endings of a relationship cry out like the tortured screams of
a smart phone about to be upgraded after being loyally stared out for two
straight years. Entirely electronic but in no way lacking in soul and that’s a
pretty neat trick.
