ASTHMATIC HARP – SINGLE REVIEW

Asthmatic Harp – Bird of Paradise

Release Date: 18th March 2020

Glasgow based Dane Hannah Fredsgaard-Jones has chosen the stage name of Asthmatic Harp and, honestly, she’s right on the money in terms of describing what to expect from her music. New single ‘Bird of Paradise’ is a soft, waif-like folk song that is delivered with such whispered gentility it’s as if Asthmatic Harp is singing and performing on the branch right next the bird in question. Delicately plucked acoustic notes and warmly soft woodwind breaths are sprinkled with the tinkling of ivories and that gorgeous, nymph-like voice to soothe even the most anxiety ridden of souls.

Live Dates:

20th March – The Waverley, Edinburgh
