I absolutely love it when you take
a chance on a new artist and when you open up the box they just jump out and
beat you around the face with a giant sugary lollipop, don’t you? Stars &
Rabbit are a duo from Yogyakarta in Indonesia and this single, ‘Little Mischievous’,
is a brilliantly fresh and vibrant indie-pop song with an overabundance of
energy. Powerhouse drums, fraught guitars get things going before the bass
rolls in and the vocals try their best to keep up with the pace. There is a 90s
vibe to this that will appeal to fans of Echobelly, Ash, the Cardigans, the Wannadies
and Frente but with an added uniqueness that just makes this incredibly
delicious and probably very bad for your teeth.
