PAUL ARMER – SINGLE REVIEW

Paul Armer – Breaking Out
Paul Armer - Breaking Out

Release Date: 28th February 2020

Westcountry troubadour Paul Armer is popping his head out from hibernation this Spring to bring us his first release of 2020, new single ‘Breaking Out’. There is hope in those initial guitar strums and pedal steel tones before Armer’s trademark country-blues twang comes in with lines like, “If tonight is your last night and you find the strength to fight, forget those fears and doubts cos you’re breaking out, breaking out”. It is incredibly timely to have a tender song about getting out of toxic relationships (romantic or platonic) and I think a lot of people will find solace, empathy and strength in the notes and words that Armer has carefully selected on this latest release. A strong and worthwhile message, beautifully delivered with a foot tapping rhythm and infectious melody – you can’t ask for much more than that, now can you?
