Diet Cig are a particularly hotly
tipped duo with a new album and UK tour in the offing so let’s ease you in gently
with this new single. ‘Night Terrors’ mixes the sweet vocal of Alex Luciano
(think Malka meets Nina Persson) with Tennis-esque guitars and rolling, tub-thumping
drums. The resultant goop is a delightfully uplifting slice of indie-rock which
makes you want to drift away on a summer’s breeze and dance barefoot in the
sand near a lake. Gorgeous stuff and hype entirely justified.
