Exeter’s renaissance man Matt
Calder is back with new single ‘Sacred Ground’ is it is perfectly timed for the
time of year. Calder’s gentle and emotive voice floats out atop the fragile and
icy melodies played out on a variety of instruments. The accompanying video
shows some genuinely stunning landscapes shot from, presumably, a drone and the
slow movement of nature matches the gentle inevitability of this tune. Matt
Calder is a craftsman in every sense and when the nuclear winter finally comes
I sincerely hope some of his work survives for future generations to discover.
