Los Angeles star in the making Delacey is back with new single and if you’re the guy/girl who’s wronged her then you had better get yourself ready, this isn’t pretty. ‘No One’s Gonna Ever Love U’ is a great post-breakup song which cuts to the core from the get-go with Delacey singing “I hope you choke on your own bullshit” as an opening line over finger click percussion and slow, low piano notes. As the song progresses the feeling of honest and raw catharsis is invigorating as the Lana Del Rey meets Angie vibes are matched by the home-video style visual and Delacey’s superbly ranged vocal which switches from deadpan put downs to soulful soaring in the chorus. Sublime stuff from a huge talent but not somebody you want to cross.
