Cardiff’s Ani Glass has a steely,
ice-cool quality to her music but that is coupled with a sense of child-like playfulness
that makes for a really original sound. ‘Mirores’, Glass’ latest single, pulses
with a low synthy throb that is redolent of Goldfrapp, ethereal melodies that
feel like Little Boots and then there’s that voice which is pure, unique and
utterly captivating. This is floaty, bouncing pop cut from Icelandic ice and
backlit with a mirror ball (in case that makes no sense, it means I’m a big fan
and the meds are kicking in).
