Hendrix takes a lead vocal role full of soaring passion, soul and raw emotion. “I
just wanna be free” goes the chorus refrain and, much like the first time I
heard Laura Mvula sing, I feel both refreshed and reinvigorated by Yazmyn
Hendrix’s voice, style and sheer class.
