Teeniest - Set My Up Boys
Release Date: Out Now
Brooklyn duo Teeniest are
adorable but don’t let that fool you, no sir. The pair’s new single, ‘Set Me Up
Boys’, is a classy and complete indie-pop song that teeters on the edge of
balladeering as confident, sultry vocals lounge luxuriantly atop a sparse Jazz
beat, a slow strum and some gorgeous vibraphone melodies. “Set me up boys I’m
ready to drink, I don’t care what people think” is a bold opening line but
given that this isn’t a rock’n’roll track and the vocalist is a woman, it opens
a whole new dimension. (NB I know that the vocalist being a woman shouldn’t be
a ‘thing’ but it still is, sadly).
