ARTHR – SINGLE REVIEW

Arthr – v1.0
Arthr - v1.0

Release Date: Out Now

If you haven’t yet had joy of fully experiencing the phenomenon that is Arthr then a) what have you been doing with your time and b) you better not have been watching Strictly. This release, ‘v1.0’, is a limited issue cassette featuring two tracks with accompanying mini-figure – already awesome, right? First up, we have ‘Untitled_1’, a disorientating and futuristic slice of electronica which layers up synths, samples and beats to create an atmosphere that is somewhere between Street Fighter (the game, not the movie) Blade Runner and that’s a pretty neat place for your music to exist. Second track ‘Untitled_2’ picks up the baton and runs with it, incorporating some more organic beats and voices coming in from beyond the AM frequency just before the sun comes up over the horizon. The descent into madness is the sound the Aphex Twin and John Lennon would have made if they’d been locked (alive) in a remote Cornish cabin for 5 and a half weeks and it is glorious. Glorious I say!
