out of Matlock, aka Patawawa, is back and the band’s new single ‘That Guy’ is
yet another slice of funky, disco-pop with a groove so deep you could be
forgiven for thinking that a glacier might have moved through it at some point.
The bass is Nile Rodgers levels of tight, the beats come straight outta the
early 80s, the horns are to die for and the vocals just make you want to cancel
your next day of work and get on with losing your mind. All that’s left for
Patawawa is to drop a Mercury Music prize nominated album and get discovered in
America.
