CHARLOTTE AP – SINGLE REVIEW

Charlotte AP – Afraid
Charlotte AP - Afraid

Release Date: Out Now

Now, before you think we have reached peak millennial, I should point out that Charlotte AP is not some kind of App based musician (although it’s only a matter of time before Alexa gets a slot on the Voice). No, Charlotte AP is a Devon based musician with a double-barrelled surname that has been shortened to AP so we can all sleep soundly for another night. Charlotte’s new single, ‘Afraid’, is a raw acoustic strum that comes in at just under three minutes and features some rapid vocal delivery. This is the sound of teenage fear (AP is just 15 years of age) delivered with articulate lyrics and the kind of flow that puts you in mind of early Ed Sheeran before he went all corporate and money grabbing. This is one of those moments when you get to hear someone at the start of their career with raw, demo quality recordings but the talent and ideas come shining through without a doubt. Stick this in your ones to watch pile.

Live Dates:

20th September – Earth Strike @ Bedford Square, Exeter
