Enigmatic artist Seaker has
returned with a new single which shows a shift in direction and a freshening up
of her already impressive sound. ‘Woven’ has a haunting, Fleetwood Mac quality
to the arrangements while Seaker’s voice has an added purity and power that
builds on the delicate nature that was always there in the past. With some crisp
80s production, subtle musicianship and a mood that builds from the humble seed
of a melody into a thumping and triumphantly defiant finale, this is a real
statement of intent. This is the sound of someone getting yet another bump in
the road of life but picking themselves up, dusting themselves down and going
again. We can all relate to that, right?
