Prolific brutalists Cassels are
back with a new album and the title track, ‘The Perfect Ending’, is the first shot
across our collective bows. The brothers Beck are in typically lo-fi form with
their guitar vs drums style running the gamut from introspective noodling to
almost chaotic sound clashery. For those that haven’t had the full Cassels
experience yet, this is essentially dark, dead-pan, social commentary poetry
set to angular Jazz-Punk with all the self-control of a toddler on a bowl of
Lucky Charms. It’s a ride.
