Despite being called ‘Storm’,
this new track from Rhymes feat. Summer Dennis has a hugely chilled vibe to it.
Smooth guitars, a laid-back beat and a wash of keys all combine to make a
perfectly luxurious bed for the luscious voice of Summer Dennis to sprawl out
on. That said, the video and lyrics speak of the storms that feature in any relationship
so there is a certain tempestuousness going on despite the atmosphere. There is
a definite 90s feel to things with names like Houston and Braxton springing to
mind but don’t let that fool you, this is a hugely contemporary track too and definitely
one to sink in to at the end of a hard day.
