Holly Morwenna is a star on the rise at the moment and new single ‘Senses’ (a
collaboration with Michelle Heckert) goes a long way to explaining the buzz. The
track opens with some ethereal melodies followed by dreamy, soulful vocals that
would fit in alongside the likes of Lana Del Rey and DYLN. The chorus, however,
has a more forthright pop-ballad energy about that has a timeless quality and
will appeal to the BBC Radio 2 market. Morwenna’s voice has a sensitivity to it
but also a power that would make this the perfect tune for the pivotal moment in
a rom-com when the central character decides they need to make changes to their
life.
