Toronto solo artist Ted Kennedy sounds like he should be a 70s news reader on network TV but in reality he’s a bit of an electro doom merchant it’s a glorious noise he makes. ‘Not Enough’ uses pulsing beats and throbbing bassy synth notes to create a dark vibe and then Kennedy’s dead-eyed vocals join in to seal the deal. There are elements of Gary Numan, a bit of New Order, the electro future Nick Cave never achieved and some contemporary sheen to make this a hugely compelling listen that is over far too soon.
