Toronto’s Natalie Lynn has plumbed
the depths of the late 80s and early 90s dance-pop scenes to create brand new
single ‘One’ and it’s an uplifting belter. Strong synth melodies, a driving
beat and a pulsing bass line create a great vibe which makes you want to drive
through a thriving city at night with the soundsystem pumping and the top down.
Then comes the piece de resistance in terms of Lynn’s voice which fits
somewhere between LadyHawke and Tiffany with a touch of Belinda Carlisle’s
class and power. If this doesn’t at least make it in to the road trip montage of
a coming of age Hollywood romp then someone’s missing out on a quality
soundtrack tune.
