I don’t get a lot of music sent over
from Singapore (or any part of Asia for that matter) so it was a real treat to
receive the new single ‘All of Our Friends Know’ by up and coming artist Linying.
The new release opens with Linying’s pure and calm vocals soon embellished by
some sparsely sprinkled melodies and a distant, throbbing bass line. By the time
we hit the chorus there’s a beat nudging things along but this track is in no
rush to get anywhere soon. There’s a floaty, weightless quality to this track
that drifts along on warm, soft sands and a morning breeze full of optimism and
potential.
