If, like me, you haven’t heard of
Seattle trio Helms Alee before and you’re a fan of the rock genre then you are
in for one hell of a treat. ‘Interachnid’ is the band’s new single and it is an
epic slice of prog-grunge that will envelop you with its primal spirit and hypnotic
melodies. The drumming of Hozoji Matheson-Margullis is some of the best I have
ever heard and really takes the lead on this track while the guitars have every
last note wrung out of them and the vocals swirl around you like the
intoxicating mists of some exotic and tempting isle. I’m genuinely blown away
by the sheer size and power of this track so I would make sure you have your
feet firmly planted before turning this one up to 11.
