CHARLY BLISS – SINGLE REVIEW

Charly Bliss – Capacity
Charly Bliss - Capacity

Release Date: Out Now

Favourites of this humble blog Charly Bliss are back which is great news but, what’s this? They same to have had a make-over like the one the nerdy girl in the movies gets the night of the prom – they look all grown up and moody. Worry not, however, the New York quartet are still devastatingly good at producing bubblegum indie-pop with a brain and a soul as new single ‘Capacity’ attests to. Frontwoman Eva Hendricks’ vocals are as distinctive and sticky-sweet as ever as she sings of wanting to ignore her inner people-pleaser in favour of following her own bath as the band work through a tune that is a bizarre mash up of Interpol, Bis and the Nectars. European fans will get a chance to check this talented bunch out in May as they visit from the States around the time of their new album release so don’t say you weren’t given plenty of notice.
