with a new EP of covers but this is no cop out release, these are carefully
chosen tunes and the first one to be shared with the public is the classic ‘What’s
Love Got To Do With It?’. Falconer takes the Tina Turner classic and turns it
in to a soulful (wasn’t it always?) acoustic jam with a subtle backing band.
The song is given a whole new personality by Falconer’s gravelly Scottish
vocals and without the dated 80s instrumentation this song takes on renewed credibility
and that’s no easy skill.
