CROWS – SINGLE REVIEW

Crows – Chain of Being (Balley Records)
Crows - Chain of Being

Release Date: Out Now

London quartet Crows have been signed up to the label of IDLES frontman Joe Talbot and IDLES are now taking them out on tour – it’s like having an awesome big brother. Also like brothers, Crows don’t fall too far from the IDLES tree with new single ‘Chain of Being’ features driving drums, searing guitars and vocals delivered down a brick tunnel of questionable function. This is intense stuff with a late 80s agit-pop vibe and not a hint of over-production but I can imagine the roof being torn off some of the UK’s finest venues when the low slung bass line of this track gets in to fifth gear on tour so don’t blame Crows if IDLES don’t get to perform on the stage due to health and safety worries shutting the venues down.
