Brummie lads Bear Witness have a delicious intensity about
them on new single ‘Perfect Living’ and I didn’t even bother to resist getting
swept up in it from the get-go. Pitched somewhere between the frantic melodies
of Maximo Park or Young Knives and the unbridled, intense passion that you get
from Editors or Incubus in full stride. It’s no surprise to find these guys are
a power trio, such is the tightness of this track, but their sound would go
down so well across the pond that I was surprised to find them originating from
the UK. They could have the same appeal that Bush or Pearl Jam had and that’s
no bad thing in my book.
