There’s a definite KT Tunstall vibe
going on with this new track from singer songwriter Amy Lawton which is no bad
thing. ‘Don’t Bring Louise’ is a gentle acoustic strummed pop song with slickly
delivered vocals and some nice arrangements in the backing instrumentation all
wrapped up in a well-produced package. Lyrically, this is a heart-broken tale
of missed chances as Lawton implores a former lover to meet her for one more
drink but without Louise – presumably the ex-lover’s new lover rather than the
90s pop star and WAG.
