contender for band name of the year Swedish Death Candy are coming at you with
new single ‘A Date with Caligula’ so, y’know, sit up straight. Things get going
like Idles rattling through ‘Crazy Horses’ with Turbowolf staring them down
from behind the glass and it only gets better from there. The guitars have a
gorgeously retro feel and the psyched out sensibilities come on like the Joy
Formidable jamming long lost T Rex material. This is a joyful tune with
generous layers and more twists and turns than a Game of Thrones series arc.
And if you’re not up for that then you disappoint me.
