“Ouch, that hurts more than it
should. Ouch, that hurt more than I thought it would”. Ladies and gentlemen, I
think we’ve found the most British song about pain. Surrey based
singer-songwriter Sasha’s new single ‘Ouch!’ doesn’t quite deliver the exclamation
mark in the vocal delivery but it matters not as everything else is gorgeous.
The electro-pop melodies are woozy and throbbing (much like hitting your head
on a shelf) while Sasha’s waspish vocal is sublime in its understated beauty.
This a song of lace-like beauty and delicacy, spun like a spider’s web across a
door frame ready to make you jump and stub your toe. Ouch indeed.
