So, this is a bit of a coming together
of two British vocal heavy weights, so it feels right that they’re coming
together on this track for a bit of a collaboration. ‘Photographs’ is a sombre
affair that laments the lack of a father or father figure, the hole only filled
by a handful of photographs. Rag’n’Bone Man’s soulful and deeply rich vocals
are the perfect foil for the scattered and sketchy beats and slathered strings
while Professor Green brings his trademark angry rap style to the table. The two
styles either jar or compliment each other, depending on your view point, but either
way it’s great to hear two men tackling an issue that has ripples through generations.
