Leeds solo artist Hypnosister is
evolving. In to what, I’m not quite sure yet, but watching the metamorphosis is
enthralling. New single ‘I’m Going To Die’ takes early 80s guitar pop and
matches it up with the kind of clean vocal melodies you’d expect from McFly –
dripping sugary sweet delivery, lulling you in to a false sense of serenity
before the bitter taste of the lyrics hits you. There is a grandiose feeling to
this track that hints at future directions for a solo artist hell-bent on
pushing limits and having fun doing it. Kafka ain’t got nothing on Hypnosister.
