Parliamo are back and they’re well up for it. New single ‘All Dolled Up’ is an
indie romp full of energy, youthful spirit and melodies – yeah, the kind of
indie you don’t get these days. The bass bounces, the drums are effortless, the
guitars are tight as a gnat’s chuff and the vocals are perfect for sweaty clubs
and crammed festival stages. These are mates, a gang, playing around and having
fun with music showing them a way forwards and it is just utterly glorious to
revel in. From the 5-aside video to the intensely fun tune, I love everything
about this tune and the band – apart from the fact that they’re so
geographically distant that they’re unlikely to play close to my Cornwall base
any time soon.
