I was really keen to check out
this new tune from 20-year-old Brazilian rising star because I hoped she might
bring something different to the growing swathes of young female pop starlets. Musically
speaking, ‘Nothing To Me’ does have a unique flavour with a Latin beat
underpinning the pop melodies and Nonô’s smooth, sweet vocal bouncing across the top like a pink beach ball
across a Miami pool. What is disappointing, however, is the flagrant over
sexualisation of Nonô in the video which feels not only unnecessary but also
slightly uncomfortable. So, give the track a listen but maybe drop the video (video included so you can make up your own goddamn mind though).
