MEME DETROIT – SINGLE REVIEW

MeMe Detroit – Churchside Inn
Meme Detroit - Churchside Inn

Release Date: 5th October 2018

Well here’s a treat for you. A clatter of drums, the gormless groan of a guitar, a four count and we’re off. MeMe Detroit’s new single ‘Churchside Inn’ is a late-night rattle along a deserted highway in beaten up kidnapper’s van with only one seat and it’s a hell of a ride. The guitars are coming out of a badly tuned and crackling AM radio, the drums are the sound of the hostage in the trunk and all the while Meme Detroit screams her deranged screams at anything the gets in her way on the never-ending road rising up to meet her. In a time when we have the likes of Rews, Berries, Estrons and Deux Furieuses you might think the market is too crowded but when the day comes that there is no room for a tune like this then that’s the day you can chop off my ears.

Live Dates:

9th November – Bohemian Lounge Bar, Stalybridge
